Leisurely

Our leisurely cycling tours strike the perfect balance between exploration and effort. You'll cover more ground than on an easy tour, with some gentle hills adding variety to the ride — but you'll never feel pushed beyond your limits. These tours are about savouring the scenery, discovering local food and wine, and arriving at dinner with a healthy appetite and a great story. Expect beautifully curated routes through some of Europe's most charming regions, where the journey is every bit as rewarding as the destination.

Leisurely
Leisurely tours are ideal for recreational cyclists who ride regularly — perhaps at weekends — but aren't seasoned tourers. They're also a popular choice for mixed-ability groups or couples where one rider is slightly more experienced. If you've done a cycling holiday before and felt you could have pushed a little further, a leisurely tour is your natural next step. They're equally well-suited to anyone who wants a proper cycling adventure without the physical demands of a more challenging route.
Daily distances typically range from 40 to 65 kilometres, across a mix of flat sections and light rolling hills. You'll encounter occasional short climbs, but nothing that demands significant fitness or technical skill. Routes are predominantly on traffic-free paths or quiet roads, and luggage is transferred between accommodation each day. Most riders complete the cycling in four to five hours, leaving plenty of time for sightseeing, a long lunch, or an afternoon glass of local wine.
Leisurely tours cover slightly more distance each day and include some light hills. They're still very manageable, but suit riders who want a bit more variety and gentle challenge in their route.
A moderate level of fitness is helpful — ideally you're comfortable cycling for a few hours at a time. You don't need to be a serious cyclist, just someone who enjoys being active.
Yes, e-bikes are available on many of our leisurely tours and are a great option if you want to manage the hills more comfortably or extend how far you ride each day.
We offer both options. Self-guided tours come with detailed route notes and GPS files, while guided tours include a knowledgeable local guide who'll enrich your experience along the way.
