The tour begins at 9:00 AM with a welcome briefing in Prague before transferring by minibus or car to the beautifully preserved town of Český Krumlov (approx. 185 km). After check-in, there’s time for sightseeing in the town center, followed by bike fitting.
Start your ride through rolling hills and lakeside landscapes en route to the spa town of Třeboň. Known for its Renaissance architecture and large fishpond system, it’s also a peaceful place to unwind. Optional visit to the Schwarzenberg Tomb or a spa treatment at the wellness centre.
Ride through a scenic mosaic of ponds and forests, following the Austrian border. Stop for lunch in Nová Bystřice and pedal through Czech Canada National Park. Finish the day in either the UNESCO-listed Telč, famous for its Renaissance square, or Slavonice, a smaller historic town.
Distance options: 55 km to Slavonice or 78 km to Telč
Today’s route winds through classic South Moravian villages and gentle countryside. You’ll overnight in the peaceful Vranov/Bitov area near the Vranov Reservoir, a perfect place to enjoy a quiet evening by the water.
Ride through Podyjí National Park, following the Dyje River along the Austrian border. This section is among the most scenic of the tour. Your destination is the charming wine town of Znojmo, where you’ll check in and enjoy an evening stroll through its historic center.
Cycle through the wine country of South Moravia, passing wine cellars, vineyards, and picturesque towns. End the day in Mikulov, a beautiful town overlooked by a castle and home to a historic town square. Enjoy a relaxed evening and a glass of local wine.
Cross into Austria at the Mikulov border checkpoint and continue through open countryside and vineyards to Mistelbach (or Poysdorf, for a shorter ride of 16km). From there, a vehicle transfer brings you directly to your hotel in Vienna.
45 km cycling + 50 km transfer.
Enjoy breakfast at the hotel before departing. Consider extending your stay in Vienna to explore its world-class museums, palaces, and cafés.
We recommend flying to Prague and returning from Vienna or Prague.
