Mallorca is an island of contrasts, and this tour is designed to capture them all. One moment you’re pedalling along golden beaches with turquoise waters at your side, the next you’re winding through peaceful countryside bordered by dry-stone walls and olive trees. From the cosmopolitan charm of Palma to the rural tranquillity of traditional fincas, you’ll discover the full spectrum of what makes this Balearic island so special.
You’ll stay in handpicked accommodations that reflect the mood of each region: a stylish beach hotel, a boutique urban stay, a centuries-old mansion, and a rustic finca. Along the way, you’ll taste local delicacies, visit ancient salt pans and windmills, and ride through some of Mallorca’s most scenic landscapes, from sleepy fishing villages to the UNESCO-listed Tramuntana mountains.
Highlights
Arrive in the island’s lively capital. Take time to explore the Gothic cathedral, seaside boulevards, and cobbled old town. In the evening, you’ll have a welcome briefing and bike fitting.
Begin with a coastal ride out of Palma, past Playa de Palma and the prehistoric ruins of Capocorb Vell. Windmills dot the horizon as you cycle through the salt flats of Llevant, with their shimmering pink-white lakes. Stop for a swim at Es Trenc beach before arriving in the seaside town of Colònia Sant Jordi.
Start your day along the coastline, visiting the beautiful bay of Cala Santanyí and the natural rock bridge of Es Pontàs. Then head inland, where life slows and dry-stone walls guide your way through farmland dotted with olive trees and rustic fincas. Overnight in a peaceful rural setting.
Today’s circular ride showcases one of Mallorca’s iconic landscapes: a patchwork of agricultural land dotted with historic windmills. These striking structures, once used for grinding grain and drawing water, speak to the island’s agricultural heritage. Return to your base in Porreres.
Ride through vineyards and olive groves en route to Petra, where a traditional Majorcan lunch is served in the leafy village square. Continue across the Pla—the central plain of Mallorca—before reaching the medieval town of Alcúdia. Wander its walled lanes and discover the charm of this coastal gem.
Cycle south toward Inca, Mallorca’s "leather capital," then transfer by bus to the scenic heights of the Tramuntana mountains (Lluc Monastery visit optional). From 1,200m (3,940 ft), descend by bike through Fornalutx—voted one of Spain’s prettiest villages. Enjoy a paella lunch before continuing through citrus groves to the fishing port of Sóller.
Includes bus transfer.
A stunning finale. Ride along the rugged western coast via the artists’ village of Deià and charming Valldemossa. With dramatic sea views and mountain curves, this is one of Mallorca’s most rewarding rides. Arrive in Palma for a final night in the capital.
Leave Mallorca or choose to extend your stay to relax or explore more of the island.
We recommend flying to Mallorca (PMI) and returning from Mallorca (PMI).
