Discover a quieter south-west corner of Sardinia, where the pace slows, the beaches stretch on without crowds, and everyday life follows the rhythm of the sea. The south-west coast is one of the island’s least-visited regions, loved by Italians but still blissfully under the radar for most international travellers.
Your journey unfolds along soft dunes, empty coves and fishing villages that feel wonderfully unchanged. You’ll ride past ancient mines swallowed by nature, taste the island’s gentler way of life, and wander through landscapes that shift from wild coastline to peaceful inland plains. It’s a trip for people who love space, scenery, and the feeling of having a beautiful place almost to themselves.

Settle into Cabras at your own pace, either by private transfer or independent arrival. Take a gentle wander, breathe in the sea air, and ease into the Sardinian rhythm. Overnight in Cabras.

Your first ride leads you into the Sinis wetlands, where flamingos stand in the shallows like pink brushstrokes against the sky. Quartz beaches glitter under the sun, and the ancient Phoenician city of Tharros waits quietly at the tip of the peninsula.
From here, cross through the medieval heart of Oristano and roll onward to Arborea for the night.

Today, the landscape grows wilder. The Costa Verde unfolds in rugged, windswept stretches. Raw, dramatic, and unforgettable.
Your ride ends at Piscinas, home to Europe’s tallest sand dunes, where golden slopes rise more than 160 feet above the shoreline. It’s a place that feels almost otherworldly.
Step back into Sardinia’s industrial past as you ride past the abandoned mines of Ingurtosu and Planusartu - silent, powerful reminders of a different era.
After the long curve of Portixeddu’s golden beach and the towering Pan di Zucchero sea stack, you’ll reach the old Nebida ore washery. Cradled by Mediterranean scrub and opening onto the sea, it’s one of those viewpoints you don’t easily forget.

A beautiful descent brings you to Fontanamare. From Portoscuso, board the ferry to Carloforte, a small island where traditions run deep and red tuna is still caught the old way.
Continue on to neighbouring Sant’Antioco and end your day in the peaceful town of Calasetta.
Today’s ride weaves through the soft, open landscapes of Sant’Antioco, green meadows in spring and sunlit gold in summer.
At Tratalias, step inside the Pisan sanctuary, a jewel of Sardinian Romanesque architecture. Follow the quiet shores of Lake Monte Pranu through calm, rolling plains until you reach Sant’Anna Arresi.
Your final day is a showstopper. The Costa del Sud is everything you hope for—white beaches, turquoise water, remote coves, and cliffs that fall sharply into the sea.
Ride past Cape Malfatano with its watchtower, sweep around Cape Spartivento, and finish at the ancient Phoenician settlement of Nora. It’s a fitting end to a week that blends natural beauty with deep history.

Then it’s time to head home, or onward, carrying a week’s worth of quiet memories with you.
