Welcome to Piedmont - Italy’s refined and richly flavoured northwest. Known for world-famous wines like Barolo and Barbaresco, white truffles, artisan chocolate and Slow Food philosophy, this region is a paradise for those who love life on two wheels and a plate full of the good stuff.
This circular cycling tour begins in elegant Torino, Italy’s first capital and still one of its most cultured cities, often called Little Paris for its wide boulevards and café culture. From there, you’ll wind your way through vineyards, medieval villages and orchards, visiting Barolo, Alba and Asti along the way—names that are as celebrated on wine labels as they are beautiful in real life. Architectural gems, castle-topped hills and the relaxed rhythm of rural Italy complete this immersive experience.

Arrive in one of Italy’s most elegant cities. Explore the Baroque architecture, grand piazzas, and charming cafés before your evening welcome briefing and bike fitting.
Ride out of Torino along quiet bike paths by the River Po. Stop to visit the magnificent Stupinigi Palace, once a royal hunting lodge. Continue through parkland and rural landscapes to reach Pinerolo, a town known for its historic cavalry academy.
Cycle past orchards and vineyards to the striking Rocca di Cavour—a solitary hill rising from the plain. Then it’s on to medieval Saluzzo, a beautifully preserved town of cobbled lanes and noble palazzi.
Visit the castles of Manta and Costigliole before reaching Bene Vagienna, a Roman-era town with archaeological ruins. From here, ride to Cherasco and onward to Bra, birthplace of the global Slow Food movement and a haven for gourmands.
Enjoy a cultural stop in Pollenzo, home to the University of Gastronomic Sciences. Climb through the famed vineyards of Barolo (a tasting is a must!) before descending to Alba, known for its prized white truffles and medieval towers.
Cycle through the lesser-known but equally beautiful Roero hills. Along the way, visit the castles of Guarene and Cisterna, with an optional museum stop. End the day in Asti, home to the famous Palio horse race and sweet sparkling wines.
Ride through quiet countryside and small riverside towns to Chieri, a charming wine town where a final glass is well deserved. From here, take a short train ride back to Torino for your last night.
